If you're an Assemblies of God missionary, getting started with HopeGives is simple. We've tailored the process to align with AGWM's system for tracking giving and designations.
Step 1: Create an Account
Go to HopeGives and sign up.
Step 2: Begin the Missionary Verification Process
Once your account is created, start the verification process to connect your profile to the General Counsel of the Assemblies of God. This ensures that your campaign is recognized and approved by your organization. Go to Profile -> Your Organizations -> Become a verified Missionary. You can learn more about this step here.
Missionary in a sensitive region: Toggle this option on if you wish to mask your name from the website. This will allow you to create a campaign without showing your name. Read more on this here.
Account number: Please enter your 6 digit account ID when asked during this step.
AGWM or AGUSM: Please type 600001 for AGWM or 700001 for AGUSM when asked during this onboarding.
Step 3: Create Your Campaign
Once verified, you’ll be able to start a Hope Campaign. During the setup, you’ll be asked to fill out a field labeled Project ID.
This is an important step!!
For AG missionaries, the Project ID field should be used to enter your two-digit Class ID. This is how the AG identifies the appropriate account for your funds.
Example Class ID:
-
00 – General support
- 60 or 63 for specific projects.
If you’re unsure of your Class ID, reach out to your AG contact.
Why This Matters
Entering the correct Class ID ensures your campaign is properly associated with your AG account and that all donations are categorized correctly by Contributor Services. This step helps make sure your supporters’ gifts go exactly where they’re supposed to.
