      How to Find a Hope Champion for Your Fundraiser

      One of the best ways to grow your campaign is by finding a Hope Champion—someone who believes in what you’re doing and wants to help spread the word.

      Hope Champions are more than donors. They’re friends, encouragers, and messengers who help bring others into your story.

      What is a Hope Champion?

      A Hope Champion is someone who:

      • Shares your campaign with their own community

      • Encourages others to give and get involved

      • Helps you reach beyond your personal network

      They’re like your campaign’s hype team—amplifying your message so more people can hear about it.

      Who Should You Ask?

      A great Hope Champion is someone who:

      • Believes in you or your mission

      • Has a network or community they could share with

      • Is comfortable posting online or texting others

      • Wants to help, even if they can’t give a large amount

      Examples:

      • A close friend or family member

      • A church leader, mentor, or small group member

      • A coworker, teammate, or longtime supporter

      How to Ask Someone to Be Your Hope Champion

      It doesn’t have to be complicated—just be sincere. Here’s a message you can send:

      Hey [Name], I just launched a fundraiser and I’m looking for a few Hope Champions—people who believe in what I’m doing and would be willing to help me share it. Would you be open to helping me spread the word? You don’t have to fundraise or do anything big—just share and encourage others to check it out.

      Most people will be honored you asked!

      What to Send Them

      Make it easy for your Hope Champion to share by giving them:

      • Your campaign link

      • A one-sentence summary of what you’re fundraising for

      • Ideas for who might care (friends, church groups, coworkers, etc.)

      Example message they can share:

      My friend [Your Name] is raising funds for [brief purpose]. I love what they’re doing and I wanted to pass it along. If you’re looking for a way to give or support something meaningful, check it out: [Insert campaign link]

      Celebrate Your Hope Champions

      Let them know their support matters:

      • Tag them in a thank-you post

      • Message them with campaign updates

      • Tell them how their sharing is making a difference
