When donating to a Hope Campaign the minimum donation amount is $1 USD

How to Make a Donation

You don’t need to create an account to donate on HopeGives.

Follow these steps to donate:

  1. Find the campaign you wish to support and select “Donate”.

  2. Enter the amount you’d like to donate and adjust the optional Impact T.I.P.*

  3. Confirm your donation and optional T.I.P. amount.

  4. Select payment option and provide Payment details.

*Some campaigns may offer an option for recurring donations. If you see this option, you can set up automatic donations. 

Now that you've donated, you can further support the campaign by:

  • Sharing the campaign: Spreading the word helps raise more funds. Select one of the sharing options provided.

  • Leave words of support: Your message will appear publicly on the campaign page under the Wall of Hope.

Payment Options

We currently support the following methods through PayPal:

  • Credit and Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover

  • Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo

Note: International donations are not available at this time. All payments are processed in USD.

HopeGives takes 0% from any donation. We rely 100% on your generosity to keep this platform free. No fees. Just impact.

You can adjust your Impact T.I.P. or set it to $0 if you prefer.

 

Trouble Making a Donation

If you encounter issues while donating, try the following steps:

  • Ensure that your card details and email address are entered correctly.

  • Double-check that your name matches exactly as it appears on your payment method.

  • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, try using a private browser, or switch to a different device.

  • Use an alternative payment method or contact your bank to ensure there are sufficient funds and no blocks on the transaction.

  • If multiple donation attempts fail within a short period, wait 24 hours and try again.
