Receive Funds with HopeGives

To ensure you can receive funds from your HopeGives campaigns, it is important to meet the following requirements. HopeGives uses PayPal as its payment processor, which means the requirements align with PayPal’s policies.

For Organizations (Businesses or Nonprofits)

To receive funds through PayPal, your organization must set up a verified PayPal Business account. Here’s what’s required:

  • A PayPal Business account

  • Organization name and authorized representative’s full legal name

  • Email address (used for login and notifications)

  • Bank account details (routing and account numbers for payouts)

  • Employer Identification Number (EIN)

  • Business address

  • Phone number (for verification)

Account Troubleshooting

If you experience issues receiving funds:

  • Make sure your PayPal Business account is fully set up and verified

  • Check for email notifications from PayPal or HopeGives about required steps or missing information

  • Confirm that your bank account is linked correctly in your PayPal account

  • Review your PayPal dashboard for any account limitations or alerts

  • If needed, contact PayPal support for account-specific questions

  • You can also reach out to HopeGives support for help with your campaign status or payout issues

Recurring Donations:
If your campaign allows recurring donations, donors will need to create a HopeGives account to manage or cancel their recurring gifts. Be sure your PayPal account stays active to continue receiving these payments.
